My High School Tag for Gretchen

1. Did you date someone from your school? Yes, what else was there to do in St. David?

2. What kind of car did you drive? My dad's killer '77 F150 Ford. I loved that thing and am sad that I ended up selling it.

3. Were you a party animal? Yes, I threw myself pity parties all the time. I still do.

4. Were you considered a flirt? I don't know, you tell me...

5. Were you in band, orchestra or choir? I played the flute in band. My mom made me join choir when Glennis Merrill came, and I did like her until she told my then crushes mom that I wasn't a good influence. What was that about? Come on man, where was the love Glennis?

6. Were you a nerd? Heck no. Although I did get good grades thanks to my brothers and sister who made good with all the teachers for me. Just try telling me that SD teachers weren't into favoritism.

7. Were you on any varsity teams? Same answer as Gretchen's: I was a cheerleader. Go Team!

8. Did you ever get suspended or expelled? No, but Gregor made me stand with my nose against the wall for a whole 5 minutes. I should have been embarrassed, but I was actually kind of proud of myself.

9. Can you still sing the fight song? ...what was it?

10. What was your school's full name? St. David Tigers.

11. School mascot? Tiger. FYI: my oldest brother Nathan was the first one to wear the real suit-- not that piece of crap homemade thing.

12. Did you go to Homecoming and with who? I went stag a couple times I think. I'm sure I went with Jeremy Deskins. I don't really remember anyone else, but there may have been more.

13. If you could go back and do it again, would you? HELL NO!!! Okay, so I know I bash St. David a lot-- but to tell the truth I did like living there. I liked pretty much everybody and had some good times, but I still wouldn't do it all over again.

14. What do you remember most about graduation? I liked Ginni Bryce's speech. I remember I wanted to sing Pink Floyd's We Don't Need No Education, but the teachers wouldn't let us. Jerks. And yes Gretchen, I did have on clear shoes (not heels though). And believe it or not I wore those same shoes to my wedding! Very classy. I'm a classy kind of girl. (chuckle chuckle snort)

15. Where did you go senior skip day? Does that mean the senior trip? Our class was lame and went to Mesa or something. I didn't want to go, and so me and a few other girls got a hotel in Tucson. Wait a minute... I chose Tucson over Mesa? WTF? No, we had fun. Other than the part when we were in the spa and a homeless lady came in and started shaving. That's not a joke.

16. Were you in any clubs? I think you had to be in a club, so I chose FHA over FFA. Sorry Napoleon Dynamite.

17. Have you gained some weight since then? After three kids my stomach looks like a deflated balloon, and yes, there are some pounds that don't want to budge. Whatever. I don't care. Kind of.

18. Are you planning on going to your 10 year reunion? I missed it because I was giving birth to my third baby.

Yes, these are the same shoes. Check out the vent holes-- so if my feet get sweaty they don't fog up. See, I told you they were classy.

  1. Okay, too funny! I had those same shoes in fifth grade and, despite the vent holes, they still fogged up.

  7. I know I know I need to post... I will... eventually! I really want to I've just been busy and lazy. I know those are lame excuses. Wow, so you are a little more unruly than i thought... Or you just write your true feelings on everything and maybe others just don't. :) It was fun to read!

  9. Crazy woman. Fun times. Witty answers. Clifford was her nephew, funny that she was protecting him. FUNNIER that you liked Clifford! He seems too.... quiet and plain for you. Maybe I didn't know him good enough. None of you guys know SD's fight song!? Did you miss out on Mr. Helder and Mr. Amberson? They taught us, we played it in band every game "On St. David" (to the tune On Wisconsin". LOL on #13 &15. Yes I deleted my 3 Joys post because I couldn't think of 3 things in all the categories.
