Life's a Beach!
We love the beautiful beaches here! We don't live quite as close to a beach as we'd like to, but who can complain? The beaches are just over an hour away, and it's a nice drive. Once we get close, even Penny knows it. She tells everyone that we're almost there, and then Sam joins in too, saying, "Beach, beach!"All of us love to collect shells. We just go hang out in the rock pools and look and look and look. We've seen eels (yuck!), sea slugs, and sea cucumbers. Jason was very disappointed that we didn't see any starfish. It's nice to just sit there and take in everything around. The only bad thing is that we still have to keep a close eye on Sam. That kid will put ANYTHING into his mouth. When we went on vacation with the Mauzy's in Florida, Jason and I discovered that we LOVE snorkeling. Jason has snorkeled a teeny bit here and saw some really cool fish. I haven't done it yet because I'm a chicken. Well, when Jason tells me that sharks may be close, I kind of freak out just a bit. Hopefully one of these days we can leave the kids with Nan and Grandad and snorkel all day. Love it!***by the way*** if you couldn't figure it out-- Thomas wrote 'Cullen Paradise' in the sand.
