We got a puppy! We looked at the Pound and found just the one for us. Thomas pretty much insisted that we get her. We've had her at least a month now, and when we got her she was just over 2 months old. From what they told us, she's a mix between a Blue Heeler and Border Collie. (our last dog was also a Blue Heeler mix and we loved her.)
The kids aren't even sick of her yet, although the attention she gets has died down a little. When we first got her, Thomas wanted her to sleep with him! Of course she's not even allowed inside-- but he did lay down with her in the garage (gross!).
We had to think of what to name her. When we got her the name she had was Jessica. Ya right! For a couple hours we called her Mika-- after only my favorite singer ever. But that didn't seem to fit her. So I made a list, including: Poppy, Toot, Lolly, Polly, Sweetie, Lovey, and more. Pip fits her perfect. Sometimes we call her Pippi, Pipster, the Pipinator, or whatever we come up with.
We all just love her. She doesn't even act like a puppy-- she's very well behaved. And she's smart. We're just over the moon with our little Pippi. Isn't she so cute?

She's a cute pup! WE miss Kip so much! He's in Sierra Vista with my parents for now. Love all the cute pics. Sam is a cutie that rope in his mouth. He's getting so big and I miss him and want to squeeze him.

Pip is so cute. He does remind me a little of Blue so that is perfect. It is nice to have a dog for the kids to grow up with. I loved all the names you were contemplating on - all Aussie sounding "short" names. Too funny! We miss you guys, Abby loves seeing pics of Penny especially. When I pull up your blog she takes over and spends 30+ minutes looking at all your pics and watching your videos. She misses you guys way more than I could even imagine she would!
