Welcome to our Home!

I think I've told everyone about the weird layout of this house, but it's hard to describe. So I grabbed the camera and did a quick run through. I tried to be quick-- Sam slowed me down. Anyway-- here it is!
When the video first starts, I'm looking towards Jason's parents house. You can't see it because it's up the hill (and it doesn't look like it, but it's a steep walk!). So if I look left while standing in front of my house, I'm looking towards their house. If I look right, I usually see kangaroos there, but they've been building houses down there lately, so I haven't seen them recently.
If I want to drive to Thomas' school, the Fish n' Chip shop (we go there at least weekly-- YUM), or into Beaudesert (I don't go there often, there's not much there), I turn right out of my driveway. It takes about 3 minutes to get to Thomas' school, 7 minutes to the Fish shop, and 10 minutes to get to Beaudesert. If I want to go to Jimboomba, which I do often, I turn left out of my driveway and it takes about 4 minutes. Brown's Plains is the next real town past Jimboomba, and it takes about 20 minutes to get there. Brown's Plains has a shopping centre that has Big W (Walmart), KMart, and Target. Jimboomba has Coles and Woolworths, which are grocery stores. The grocery stores are different here though, they have more than just groceries-- they even sell pajamas! But in Jimboomba they're also starting to build some other shops. I don't know what's going to be there yet, but hopefully we'll get something good. Beaudesert also has Coles and Woolies*, and they also have Target Country which is smaller and only sells cloths. I loved Target at home, but I'm a clearance shopper. And the clearance here doesn't impress me, so I'm over that. By the way, there are other little shops everywhere, but I only listed the 'main attractions'.
This is quite a long entry! I just thought it'd be nice to let you know how my life is.

*Australians shorten so many words. The store is called Woolworths, but no one calls it that-- it's Woolies. In Beaudesert they have both Salvation Army and St. Vincent De Pauls thrift shops (which they call op-shops). They don't bother calling them that even on their sign, they say Salvos and Vinnies. Too funny.

Hey, I will email you my #. Thanks for leaving the comments! I was so excited to find you as well. It has been FOREVER! I can't believe you are living in Australia. Do you just love it, and do you plan to stay long? We are here in hot Mesa Arizona...I saw Sanya about two or three months ago at the pediatricians office. It was just a quick passing as I was on my way in to the doctor. Anyway, I hope we can stay in close contact now that we have found each other! I hope all is well with you and your cute little family!

Yeah! The post I've been waiting for. LOVE IT! Now, I can picture your house in my head and know about the towns you visit. It looks so cute. LOVE the St. Patricks Day pics. You are such a fun mom to do stuff like that. You've always been good at that stuff. I forgot to dress my boys in green and my sister had to tell me it was St. Patricks Day!! What a boring mom I am.

Cool Post! That was fun to see your house but I have to admit, I watched the video twice and now I feel really nauseus. Bleh. I guess I get motion sick - haha.

Anyways, it looks great and your bathroom's not so bad. My mom didn't even used to have one in her room until her new house.

I love the town names in Australia! I visited Toowoomba for a week or so after I graduated high school. So fun! Guess it's the aboringinee, or how ever you spell it, influence.
