Frogs

These are four different frogs we've found around the house (all outside except one that was in the garage). One night our dog, Pip, was barking like crazy. When Jason went out to see what the problem was, he found a frog on the side of Pip's kennel. So of course the kids had to come out to see it. I thought it was so funny that out of all my kids, it was Sam who was freaking out! He didn't want anything to do with it. Whenever we tried to show it to him, he just ran away saying, 'NO!'. After the kids handled the poor thing for a while, Jason said it's skin was starting to dry out, so he dipped it in Pip's water.
I have a fake frog that I keep inside. When I saw a frog outside, I thought it'd be interesting to see how the real frog responded to the fake one. It didn't seem to care too much, but it still made for some cool pictures. That same frog tried to make its way up to our water pipe. Ya, I put a stop to that. Even though I still boil all of our drinking water, I don't want to be boiling frog bath water. Yuck. Can you believe that Jason never had a second thought about frogs in the gutters? When I brought up the fact that you drink the same water that these cute frogs are sitting in, he finally realized how gross that was.
And look at that cute little baby frog! Isn't it so cute?

Cute! Are you going to keep them? :) Frog water does sound gross. I agree with you on that.

It looks like frogs I only see in pictures. Very cool looking. When we were kids during summers with my dad, we'd go to the park after it rained and get a ton of tadpoles. We'd put them in a baby pool in the backyard and wait for them to turn into frogs. Then we'd have a bunch of baby frog pets. Kind of fun.

Wow, those frogs are really green. They don't look real. At least you are getting to see things over there that we never get to see here in hot AZ.

I totally thought the picture of the close up of the frog was fake. Ok, ummmmmm why are you boiling your drikning water and why are you getting it from your gutters?

I don't see anyone from SD, however I do stay in contact with many, mainly Jamie Gall (gill). others are just through blogs and emails ya know.

Allison, I have a frog post on my blog, too. It made yours even more fun and interesting. I can't believe their slimy looking skin, ours was rough and toadlike. And their color is just beautiful. Love the pics of your little girl - I would be screaming wildly if someone put a frog on my head!!!! Love ya! Erin

Those look so fake! that is so funny though. I'm sure thomas and penny loved it. The neon green kinda scared me though, i think i might scream like a girl if i had to touch it.
