Friday morning we headed off to Paddy's Markets. It's a big building with lots and lots of stalls set up. Celeste and I went back there the next day and we both swear that the place magically grew. It was fun. That's where I got the kids their gifts.
This was the only place I saw an Aboriginal playing the didgeridoo. I've seen more Aboriginals playing here than on the Gold Coast. We must have more Aboriginals, but they definitely have more Asians.
Outside of the markets there was this tree (in the picture with the building-- you may have to zoom in). I should have taken another picture from another angle. It was really cool. It had what looked like melted gold all over it. Some water was even dripping out on one part. Anyway-- I liked it.
Planes, Trains and Automobiles
I caught my first Taxi! We travelled in so many different ways. Down further below you'll see the picture of the girls and Joel on the monorail, this picture right here is after getting off the train, we caught some buses, and we went on a ferry. Not to mention we did an awful lot of walking. So many ways to get around in just a couple of days.
I had to put this poster in here for my mom and brother and sister-in-law. They went to Europe a couple years ago, and they got a kick out of always hearing 'mind the gap'. They didn't announce it here, but just seeing that poster made me laugh.
Yummy!
Friday night we went to Celeste's brother's house for dinner. Michael and Sara are expecting a baby girl next month. Sara's mom will be living with them for about a year to help out. Sara was so excited to show us everything that she had for their little one. We chatted for a while and then Sara and her mom made us dinner. Yes, I had an authentic Indian meal-- and I can't even describe how good it was. It was very simple but just oh so good. I love Indian food. Love it love it love it. That meal was great.

I love your adventures. I'm jealous. I have such an itch to go somewhere soon.
