I Forgot...

I forgot to put this picture on the frog post. This is at Thomas' school. Scary, huh?

Also...
People always ask if the water really spins in the opposite direction here (in the toilet). It's hard to tell, because it doesn't really spin, it just kind of splashes down. Maybe one day I'll record it so you can see for yourself.

But can you see the button thing on top you push to flush? They all look different, but there's always two buttons: I'm sure you can guess that one button has a more powerful flush. When I first arrived in Australia, we went to the mall and I went to the bathroom there. Luckily Jason's sister was in there too so I could ask her how to flush. Some buttons are marked, some aren't. On this toilet pictured it has two equal sized buttons, but on one side it's marked in half. Some toilets have one small button and one big one. Like I said, they're all different, but they do the same thing. So there's your Australian Toilets 101.

I didn't know there were different versions of toilets except for those kind that spray you off when you're done. We need one of those "super flush" buttons, NOTHING can get down our toilets!!!! The sign over the toilet is funny! I didn't think of Australia as being such a different culture than ours.

It's the same way in Europe. When we were in Italy I couldn't figure out were the button was to flush...it was on the floor off to the side and some were on top, just like yours and I just couldn't get it right and was pushing several buttons, stepping on things that were not the flush and actually thought it was fun because our here in America are boring...I won't even talk about the toilets in Germany!

I'm happy to see Australia actively engaged in the fight to save toilets and frogs! And yes I hate clowns and masks of any kind. I know I'm not the only one out there with Clownaphobia.
