Our stuff!

So here it is. After 7 very depressing months, we finally got our stuff. It's a good thing we have a big yard so the movers could drive right up to our back door (even though Jason and his brother had to take the fence apart a bit to let the truck in). The truck arrived right before school, so we were all out there watching.

As the movers were unpacking, Penny and Sam were already playing with their 'Texas toys'. Thomas had his uncle (yes, his younger uncle) over to play with his new toys while Nan helped organize the game room. The kids managed to keep that room clean for at least two minutes.

The kids were so happy to have some American cereal the next morning. And of course they couldn't wait to watch movies on our wonderful 50 inch TV-- and while sitting on our fabulous couch. We've missed our stuff so much and are so happy to finally have it back. Yes, a lot of things got broken or damaged, but whatever. At least we have our stuff. I was really happy to see my bench from Grandma and Grandpa Hatch. I was terrified something would happen to it. Thank heaven!

My neighbor in Texas had a girl a several months before I had Sam (Sam will be 2 in October). When she had her baby, Thomas had sharpened a bunch of crayons, so he had homemade confetti. He wanted to go in the yard and throw it up in the air to celebrate the new baby. I kept telling him he could do it later... and later... and later. So when I was unpacking boxes and found that bowl full of Thomas' confetti-- I thought now would be the perfect time. Woo hoo!

What an exciting relief! Looking at your pictures I felt your relief too for some reason. What a good feeling. I still am shocked at how stuning Penny is. I'm looking at my monkey and don't see her headed in that direction of white blonde hair, or even hair for that matter. Still bald. Glad that you got your crap! wink

How did you survive so long without all of that!? How fun, I bet it's like a mega-Christmas unpacking all that. My Alayna turns 2 in Oct as well. So two of our kids are same ages, right? Devon (8 almost 9) and Alayna (~2). Very cool! Love ya!

How fun and boy do you have your work cut our for you! That is one thing I hate about moving, but living wihtout it for so long would be crazy too. You are a true pioneer woman and your bench even made it across the plains:)

Are you unburied yet? Looks like you've got plenty of help if everyone can stop playing long enough to get it organized! My adorable grandkids are nearly Back in the US, Back in the US, Back in the USA! Happy for you!
