Birds

We wanted to take this owl home with us, it was so cool. When we first saw it it had a dead baby chick in it's claw while it sat on it's branch. If you look in the picture, you can see a couple of dead mice on the branches behind it. Then it put the chick in it's mouth and came down to get closer to us. It really seemed like it was trying to share it's food with us. So cute.

This eagle opened an emu egg by cracking it with a rock. There was also a wedge-tailed eagle that I didn't get a picture of, but it was pretty impressive. We arrived to the show a little late, so we were just standing by the side. Before they brought out the HUGE eagle, they made us sit down and everyone had to keep their kids close. I'm sure they were being a bit dramatic, but they did say that the eagle picks up wallabies, kangaroos, and even emus! Crazy.
