Snakes and a Two-Headed Lizard

This shingleback lizard was so freaky! When she brought it out I literally kept blinking my eyes because I couldn't figure out how it had two heads. I wish I had more pictures because I swear it looked like a freak of nature. She said these lizards use their tail to lure other animals-- making them think the tail is the head. When the other animals go to attack their supposed 'head', the real head snaps up and gets them instead.

I wasn't surprised when Thomas went to touch this snake, but I was shocked when I saw my little Penny touching it. I wonder if she's my real daughter...

Sam was pretty la-di-da about all the animals he saw, but he was impressed with this lizard. Thomas and Penny liked these big pythons wrapped up in the trees. I didn't even notice until I looked at the pictures closely that there was a tree frog just sitting on the tree by the snake.

The snake photo of Sam is the greatest because the expression on his face looks about right if he were truly about to be swallowed. He looks mortified! LOL
